We like to call Noel Foundation a special place where hope reigns!
Noel Foundation is an NGO based in Chennai, dedicated to bring hope and help to families from underprivileged backgrounds, struggling to save their infants with congenital heart diseases. Our son, Shaun Noel, was born with multiple heart defects that required three open heart surgeries to be performed on his tiny delicate frame. Watching our child go through so much caused us great emotional distress coupled with the finances required for the treatment left us drained inside and out. We thought about other families going through the same situation, families that did not have the financial support needed for the treatment for their child, it was during this time that we decided to start Noel Foundation.

Noel Foundation was established and registered with the Government of Tamil Nadu in India in the year 2013. The aim of the organisation is to help children born with heart defects with the required financial assistance, emotional care, a help desk and providing a home away from home during hospitalisation. We hope that these little gestures of kindness will help relieve their families from a lot of pressure.

We learned from our experience that many times, patients may get financial support for the surgeries or treatments from altruistic individuals or organisations, but what many do not get are the initial motivation / counselling / emotional support before the surgery, as well as, a follow up of financial aid after the actual surgery takes place. There are mandatory medical check-ups and medicines that such patients often need to adhere to. Since we understand the importance of such needs from our own experience, we have made it our primary goal to especially emphasise on being there for them in the pre and post-surgical needs.
